How to Write an FAQ for Your Number Store That Saves You Hours
Business guide ·
Run a number store for a week and you'll notice that most questions repeat. Why didn't my code come, how do refunds work, which country should I pick. An FAQ that answers these well saves you hours every week.
The questions to answer
- How does it work? Pick a service and country, pay, get a number, the code appears on your screen.
- How long do I wait for the code? Usually seconds to a couple of minutes. The number waits for a set time before it expires.
- What if no code arrives? You get your money back automatically when a number expires without an SMS.
- What's the difference between cancel and ban? Cancel gives up on an unused number. Ban flags a number that never gave a working code. Both refund you.
- Which country should I choose? Some services accept some countries more often. If one doesn't work, try another.
- Can I use the number again later? Usually not. Numbers are for receiving a code now, not for long term use. Don't use them for accounts you'll need to recover by SMS.
- How do I top up? Which payment methods you take and how long payments take to arrive.
Write it the way customers talk
"My code didn't come" is how people ask. Use their words in the questions. Keep answers to two or three sentences.
In their language
If most customers speak Russian or Spanish, write the FAQ in Russian or Spanish. Your store supports 14 languages for the interface, and your own pages can be in any language you like.
Put it where it's needed
- A link on your home page and near the buy button.
- In your Telegram pinned message.
- In your replies, as a link instead of retyping answers.
Keep it current
When a new question comes in twice, add it. When something changes, update it the same day.
Add your FAQ as a page in your telly.cat reseller store admin.
